A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: A bachelors degree in business administration, public administration, environmental policy, environmental science or related field; OR Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers AND Three years of full-time experience in the planning, organizing, and direction of solid waste operation or activity; OR Five years of full-time experience in performing regulatory analysis for the purpose of planning, compliance, or instruction of others
